Happy Hollow has been on the search for a new home. We continue to have some promising leads but have yet to sign a lease. Check back often for updates and information on the future home of Happy Hollow.

UPDATE:4/27/25

Thank you everyone for your support via the Go Fund Me and Fundraiser event! We still have a ways to go but collectively we have raised about $9,000 toward our relocation efforts.

Update 7/2/2025.....

  We were set to sign a lease and the owner of the prospective location decided to accept an offer from another party to sell the property and not lease. We spend days and nights looking for additional options and met with the same challenges that we faced over the last year.  Please see the letter to our community regarding our decision to close permanently.

 

Dear Happy Hollow Community~  7/1/2025             

We are extremely sad to share today that the very difficult decision has been made that Happy Hollow, as a program, will officially close after our last day of summer care- July 25th, 2025 and not be reopening in a new location as we had hoped.

Due to all the unforeseen factors over this extremely challenging year, the hurdles we’ve tried to overcome to find a solution to continue, has led us to our final situation we will not be able to recover from in the business. It is now in our own personal families' best interests to permanently close and dissolve the program. We are all experiencing the grief of this decision but have peace in knowing that we tried absolutely everything we could in our power to find a different solution.

 

We hope you will all join us in a ceremonial celebration and gathering to say farewell to Happy Hollow, July 17th 3-4pm. 

We will then be hosting a close-out sale July 19-20th for any remaining items to part with. 

The words of encouragement, fundraising efforts, and the loyalty to follow us has been overwhelmingly inspiring. The support that everyone has given this year has allowed us to be able to maintain a few lasting Teachers with us to finish out the summer program and has allowed us to create these last few weeks of special memories for all our students. We cannot express our gratitude enough!

We’ve held onto every last thread of hope, and many of you have held on with us through this tough year too. We cannot say Thank you enough for having everyone’s support and encouragement as we’ve tried to keep the magic going. We all had hopes for such a different outcome.

While the program of Happy Hollow is closing, we hope the community that has been built and the memories that have been shared will continue for many years to come. This space has held a magical energy for over 30 years in the Beaverton community, it is heartbreaking to see this chapter close.

Tara and I are so proud to have served this community and to have met and shared a portion of our life story with such amazing families and Educators. We are all transformed by the people we meet along the way in life, and this has been a fulfilling chapter of ours.

We share our sincere gratitude and sorrow with each of you as we enjoy our final weeks here.

Update 9/9/2025........

We are beyond excited after a longer then hoped break to be able to announce our new location and revival of Happy Hollow! Saying good-bye to the previous location and that chapter was heartbreaking, and even through the tough decisions, we still kept working to be able to reopen.
