We believe that all young children are eager and excited learners who need an environment that helps to actively engage and guide them in construction of their own knowledge. We feel children need a learning environment that helps them to experiment and explore with old and new ideas in order to make connections with prior experiences and actively work to build new knowledge. We offer a space and a place where young learners can manipulate and explore in ways that support their individual differences in ability, interest, development and learning styles. We believe that given an environment that supports constructivist theories in education, each child can develop to his or her fullest potential while gaining self-confidence, knowledge, and positive social skills. We also support the idea that providing young children with an environment that demands respect for each individual in our community of learners integrates the development of social skills with the maintenance and sustenance of a positive social community.
